Able Catch Pantry Pest Traps
The improved shape of Pantry Moth Control
Traps Direct delivers a refreshed design of the Pheromone Pantry Moth Trap. The results? A trap that is very able indeed!
Say good bye to Pantry Moths (including almond moths, indian meal moths and any other food moth), but also say good bye to wood grain traps that take up scarce counter space. The improved Able Catch Moth Trap drops the old “Try”-Angle shape, in favor of a wider opening “TRAP”-ezoid that doubles the entry corridor a moth needs to navigate to be caught.
Also, say good by to cello bags or card board packaging, the Able Catch design is ecommerce ready and offers a zero-waste package. In fact the directions are printed on the glue side (as well as available online at
Able Catch Guide.)
What is the same?
Pheromone lures replicating the female plodia interpunctella in a time release pheromone disc that lasts 90 days.
The lure replicates the female moth mating chemical signature. Males can detect this signature scent up to 10 feet away and will be drawn toward it.
Trap Moths in the air.
Seems silly to think that a flying moth trap should be placed on a counter… Shouldn’t it be placed at flight level? Well now it can.
The Able Catch Pantry Pest Trap can hang from nearly anything using the integrated trap tab wings. Three approaches can be used: TUCK, HOOK and LOOP. Details of how to deploy the tab wings can be found at
Able Catch Guide.

Moth Trap Customer Reviews
I noticed the Able Catch Moth Traps when I was buying more of the catchmaster traps. Figured why not give it a try and do my own side by side comparison…. The results are in, and able catch really was able to catch more moths.
The light green stone color looked better than the wood color, and the Traps Direct Logo that is in the picture ends up on the back of the trap, so it’s not seen. Size wise the Able Catch takes up half the shelf space, but has more area to catch a moth. But, the shelf space doesn’t matter because the tabs fold into hooks so I was able to hang the moth trap from the edge of window blinds. Catching moths in the air at their level. In the end it was the air war that beat the ground war. I’ll buy able catch from now on!
Thumbs up for the better design!
